Welcome to the first issue of Out & About, a Monthly Guide. We hope you will find Out & About to be a useful guide throughout the month, as you plan the important activities that will make up your days.

Out & About is being provided in order to support and promote the events, organizations, and the worthwhile and entertaining activities that can be found in the Mid-Ohio Valley. From fine arts and theatre, to volunteer opportunities, to movies, books, and fun family activities, The Historic River Cities have a lot to offer those who live here, and those just visiting, too.

Enclosed in our first issue you will find a sample of what's to come. Listings of events, museums and tours in our area, as well as stories intended to bring your attention to - or simply increase your knowledge of - some of the wonderful things in which you can become involved.

Readers are invited to keep Out & About in their homes and businesses, and use it to help you find just the right event to attend, book to read, movie to see, or organization to support. Out & About should be useful to you throughout the entire month as you seek to find meaningful and rewarding ways to spend your valuable time.

We encourage non-profit organizations, charities, churches, clubs, and anyone else with a worthwhile community event to contact us so that we may help assure that everyone living in and visiting the Valley is aware of it. At no cost to organizations, we will provide listings of dates, times, and other important information, and should you like, we can even publish a feature article about your organization or event. What better way to let everyone know what you do, and how others can become involved in it?

Also, we would like to thank the businesses who have graciously provided space on their counters, in their waiting rooms, and next to their front doors to help get Out & About to the people, as well as supporting this publication by advertising. We strongly encourage readers to use the products and services of our advertisers, as they continue to show their own support for our community!

So please, feel free to peruse the pages of this publication, and pass word of it on to your neighbors, and the great organizations that we can help our community support. We at Out & About are proud to live and work in The Historic River Cities, and we hope that pride comes through in this publication!
